Aaron is the Managing Director for Somerston’s Venture Capital and Private Equity portfolio, as well as for Somerston Treasury. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer for Trans Pacific Networks, an undersea telecom company.

With over 25 years of experience in investment and asset management, Aaron is based in the Cayman Islands. His previous roles include positions at Dart Management, the Royal Bank of Canada, and the gold mining company Placer Dome.

Aaron holds an MBA in Wealth Management and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).

Kiril Deliivanov is Senior Vice President for the Somerston Innovation Fund II.

Kiril joined us from Knighthead Annuity & Life where, as Vice President for 3.5 years, he oversaw the strategic asset allocation of the company’s $4b+ reinsurance portfolios. He has over 20 years of investment management and markets experience. Prior to joining Knighthead, Kiril was at Dart Management (an institutional sized family office in the Cayman Islands) for 12 years. As Vice President at Dart, he demonstrated strong consistent buy-side investment research, analysis and trading across a wide range of asset classes and sectors, including: global equities; corporate and sovereign debt; currencies; swaps and other derivatives; among other structured and emerging market assets.

Prior to joining Dart, Kiril was an Investment Banking Associate at Thomas Weisel Partners in Toronto. He started his career with KPMG Toronto working in the Real Estate practice.

Kiril is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA), and has also completed his Canadian Securities Course. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Schulich School of Business (York University, Toronto). Kiril lives in the Cayman Islands and is a Caymanian, Canadian and European citizen.

Stephen has recently joined the Somerston Innovation team and relocated to the Cayman Islands.

Stephen was an Assistant Vice President at Washington Capital Management, where he has helped start several new open and closed-ended funds. He also provided analysis on new investment opportunities and managed several trophy real estate assets. He began his career as a general real estate appraiser for JLL, where he was lead report writer for appraisals.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

David served as chief compliance officer (CCO) at MLRO at UBS Fund Services and currently serves as Controller for subsea telecom company Trans Pacific Networks. He has over 30 years in financial services organizations globally.

David has his CA designation as well as certifications in offshore administration, offshore trust management, AML and transfer pricing. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Rhodes University in South Africa. David is a naturalized Caymanian.

Lana serves as Director on the Board of the General Partner. In that role she additionally supports the fund in capital raising and investor engagement for Somerston Fund II. She has held senior leadership positions in her impressive 25-year career at Rotella Capital Management, BNP Paribas, ABN AMRO, and Apex Group.

As the Head of Investor Relations at Apex Group Ltd, Lana leverages her extensive experience in financial markets and investments to build and maintain strong relationships with investors, stakeholders, and partners. She has a proven track record of delivering strategic revenue, insights and solutions that align with the company’s vision and goals

Lana holds a Master’s degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.
